Views and Visions: Prints of the American West, 1820-1970 (Arts)
Location: Amon Carter Museum
Experience the intrigue and fascination of the early American West in a special exhibition of nineteenth and twentieth century prints and illustrated books from the Carter’s permanent collection. Views and Visions: Prints of the American West, 1820–1970 features works by American artists who depicted the grand landscapes, wild animals, and rugged individuals of the West.Admission is free.

Help the Homeless Walkathon and 5K (Non Profit Fundraiser)

Thousands of walkers and joggers will take steps to end homelessness at the 3rd Annual Help the Homeless WalkAThon & 5K on Saturday, November 14 at 9AM at Dallas City Hall Plaza. New this year is the addition of a 5K Run. In addition, there will be a family fun walk, food, music and fun activities. Proceeds from this year's WalkAThon & 5K will be used to support Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance. Entry fees vary. Please check event website for more info.
North Texas Outdoor EXPO (Outdoor Living)

FREE EXPO for kids! Designed to introduce kids to different activities from fitness obstacle courses, bicycling, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, archery, target games, rock climbing, scuba diving and more. The expo will be divided into eight “villages,” fitness village, bike madness, target, nature, archery, dog, water and fishing village. Each village, in turn, will feature several activities and exhibits, adding up to more than 50 distinct attractions. The EXPO will also have a nature village with a butterfly display, birds of prey, an exotic petting zoo, reptiles, bugs, Dutch oven cooking expo, camping expo, scouting, orienteering experience and more. The event is being hosted by the Youth Target Foundation and Start Caring Wellness, a youth health organization fighting childhood obesity. We will feature Bass Pro’s Race Cars #1 and #20, THE KING OF BUCKS Trailer, Texas Motor Speedway Race Car, tons of Kayaks, boats, canoes, archery equipment, fishing equipment and more.
